Synopsis
Perhaps the most famous countercultural event in history, the Woodstock Music and Art Fair dropped 500,000 hippies, musicians, artists, dropouts and other curious folks on an old dairy farm a few hours north of New York City for three days of peace and music. This video collects archival photographs and film footage along with contemporary interviews with the original performers, including Arlo Guthrie and Richie Havens. The developers and producers of the festival also get a chance to have their say. Features clips of Janis Joplin, the Who, Richie Havens, Sly and the Family Stone, and Mountain.
